The bank in a statement said as receiving bank for the offer, it is providing convenient and secure channels through which customers and investors can subscribe to the landmark listing. “FirstBank is committed to connecting our customers with opportunities that support wealth creation and long-term financial growth.
“The Dangote Refinery IPO offers retail and institutional investors the chance to participate in the growth journey of one of Africa’s most significant industrial assets. FirstBank continues to leverage our extensive network and digital capabilities to provide customers with convenient access to investment opportunities that support financial inclusion and wealth creation.”
The IPO is coming as the Dangote Refinery continues to occupy a strategic position in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector, following efforts to increase domestic refining capacity and reduce the country’s dependence on imported petroleum products.
The shares are proposed to be listed on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), subject to the completion of the offer and applicable regulatory requirements.
