The Senior Pastor of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Effurun, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, says his relationship with God is anchored on placing humanity above religion. He says religion without humanity is a waste.
At a midweek meeting on Wednesday at the church headquarters, the revered man of God said he is fulfilling the mission that God has entrusted, saying he would not abandon it for any reason.
He is one of the few men of God who have made significant investments towards human capital development and empowerment of communities.
Snr. Prophet Omoto Fufeyin, through his foundation, made a whopping donation of N85m to workers in Mercy City and host communities during the Christmas festivity last year, in addition to a trailer load of noodles, to give them a memorable Christmas and New Year celebration.
Last year, when communities in Niger Delta were ravaged by flood, he mobilised resources along with equipment and a rescue team to evacuate thousands of flood victims from Bayelsa, Delta and Kogi state and camped them in Mercy City.
He provided them with housing and feeding till the rain subsided, enabling them to return to their various States and homes with cash gifts to help them start over again.
He has also intervened in cases of top Nigerian entertainers with terminal illnesses, providing them succour. Prince Emeka Ani, Cynthia Okonkwo, Clem Ohamaize, Leo Maize, Cynthia Owoh, Emeka Rollars, Zack Orji, and Emeka Rising Ibe are just a few persons in this category.
Just a few weeks ago, knowing that technology is the most sought-after, he brought in seasoned content creators to help train hundreds of youths from Bayelsa and Delta State, respectively, on content creation. After the training, most of them were blessed with ring lights, phones, and start-up capital to begin their journey of becoming self-dependent.
Beyond the word of God, he profoundly connects with people and communities, which is why everyone loves him. He has vowed to continue fulfilling his divine mandate until God calls him.
Following a 13-day online poll conducted by Leadership Excellence Awards recently, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin has emerged as Philanthropist of The Year amongst Tony Elumelu, Alhaji Abdul Rabiu and Ahmed Musa. The official presentation ceremony will be held at the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) banquet hall on November 2nd 2024. The event has in the past honoured notable individuals, including former president Olusegun Obasanjo, popular clergy, Apostle Chibuzor Gift, OPM general overseer and many others.
