A truck conveying cartons of Spaghetti was yesterday attacked by some persons at Dogarawa axis of Zaria-Kano expressway.
This came barely a week after a mob hijacked trailers loaded with foodstuff in the Suleja area of Niger State, stealing bags of rice and other food items amidst the widespread hardship in the country.
Dogarawa is a settlement located along the expressway on the outskirts of Zaria.

The trailers were said to be heading to Abuja from Kaduna when they blocked the road and made burnfires on the highway.
An eyewitness disclosed that yesterday’s incident occurred around 3.15pm after the driver of the truck parked by the road side to observe prayer.

Daily Trust quoted the eyewitness as saying that immediately after the driver parked, people started carrying away cartons of spaghetti.
The eyewitness said such act had never occurred around the area since he had been trading there for more than 10 years.

“Not a single cartoon of the spaghetti was left by the hoodlums on the truck,” the source added. It was learnt that a police team deployed to the scene of the incident arrested five suspects.
