To relieve the community of their ‘witchcraft’, two local security men, Hassan Solomon, 26, and Uleri Shaba, 28, both of Gulak town, shot both mother and son, killing them instantly.

The hunters claimed that the deceased ‘witches’ had allegedly killed two of their relations and were responsible for other mysterious deaths and happenings in their community.

Late Uzarai was shot in the stomach by the hunters, while her son was shot on his neck at their residence.

Meanwhile, the officer in-charge of Crack Squad of Adamawa State Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, disclosed that operatives of the Command have apprehended 15 suspects connected to the murder of duo and were being investigated.
