Wumi Toriola is keeping things honest about her relationship status. The Nollywood actress recently revealed on Instagram that she is still single, and according to her, she’s also a “red flag.”

“Not just single, I still be red flag join. May God comfort the crying babies,” she wrote jokingly on her Instagram page.

The actress’s post quickly got fans talking, especially because just a few months ago, she had many singles feeling envious after showing off lavish Valentine’s Day gifts allegedly from her partner. At the time, Wumi shared a screenshot of a ₦2.5 million credit alert alongside flowers, cakes, balloons and teddy bears, telling critics to “call it materialistic when it’s your turn.”

Despite her latest declaration, the actress has not hidden the fact that she is open to love again. While celebrating her colleague Bidemi Kosoko on the birth of her third child, Wumi hinted that she hoped marriage could still happen for her in the future.

Wumi previously announced her separation from her ex-husband in 2023, revealing that she left the marriage because of alleged domestic violence and emotional abuse. Her former husband later disputed her claims and accused the actress of violence and betrayal, allegations Wumi strongly denied.

In a 2024 interview, the actress also sparked reactions after admitting she was open to becoming a second wife, saying being a single mother had changed her outlook on relationships. She later joked that potential suitors should bring a “transfer letter” from their exes and a therapist’s certificate, because she was tired of lies.
