‘I Don’t Have Interest In Super Eagles’ Job Again – Peseiro

Former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has once again reiterated that his work with team his done

Peseiro left the post at the end of February following the expiration of his contract.

The Portuguese has now moved to clear rumours that he could make an instant return to manage the three-time African champions.

“As I said, my work with the Super Eagles is over. It was gratifying to coach players of such quality, with my staff we managed to do well in this sense, but the time has come to move on to another project,” Peseiro said in an interview with Sports Italia.

The 63-year-old was in charge of the Super Eagles for 22 months.

The former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach guided the team to second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has already declared the position of Super Eagles head coach vacant.

A number of top coaches including; Emmanuel Amuneke, Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Daniel Amokachi and Antonio Conceicao among others have applied for the job.
