I Have No Power To Impeach Governor – Oba Ladoja

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja has refuted viral claims that he is planning to unseat Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde.

The monarch, in a statement issued on Tuesday through his media aide, Mr. Adeola Oloko described the claim as false and misleading.

“You don’t have to be a former governor or a distinguished senator to know that a monarch has no power to impeach a local government chairman, not to talk of a state governor.

“This becomes intriguing, considering that less than 24 hours ago, the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose alleged a purported plot by the state governor to remove the Olubadan.

“Today, it is the Olubadan who is allegedly planning to impeach the governor. So, who is fooling who,” Oloko queried.
