Nollywood actor IK Ogbonna has shared a touching account of his final days with his late best friend, Alexx Ekubo, stating that he still struggles to accept the reality of his passing.

Speaking at the late actor’s service of songs in Lagos State on Wednesday, an emotional Ogbonna revealed that he constantly finds himself reaching for his mobile phone to call Ekubo, hoping the call will somehow connect for one more conversation.

Ogbonna noted that while they had their usual disagreements as close friends over the years, their bond remained unbreakable. He added that Ekubo was not only a source of happiness but also a spiritual anchor who constantly encouraged him to strengthen his relationship with God.

“Even in our last conversation, you still told me to always remember that you are here for me, even if no one else is. To my friends now and my future friends, I appreciate y’all, but there will never be another Alexx.”

The actor expressed deep sorrow over the loss, wondering how he would fully recover from the pain of losing someone who had promised to always stand by him.
