Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, declaring that he would not be “an ingrate” like former Osun State governor and ex-Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, whom he accused of turning against his political benefactor.

Speaking during a recent visit to the APC Youth Network Secretariat in Accra, Ghana, Igboho expressed gratitude to Tinubu for his role in facilitating his return from exile, insisting that he remained indebted to him.

Addressing members of the ruling party’s youth wing, Igboho said Tinubu deserved loyalty from those he had helped politically and personally.

Igboho singled out Aregbesola, accusing the former governor of opposing a man who had played a significant role in his political rise enviable height.

“Look at some Yoruba people whom Tinubu favoured, yet they repaid him with evil. One of them is Aregbesola. The kind of opportunities Aregbesola enjoyed through Tinubu were opportunities many people never had.

“Aregbesola benefited greatly from Tinubu’s support. He served as a commissioner during Tinubu’s tenure as governor. Later, Oyinlola was removed as governor, and Aregbesola became governor. He subsequently served as a federal minister for eight years. All these opportunities came through Tinubu’s support.

“Aregbesola should never be among those against Tinubu because Tinubu was his benefactor.

“May we never be ingrates in our lives,” he added.

The Yoruba Nation campaigner also dismissed efforts by political opponents to prevent Tinubu from securing a second term, expressing confidence that the President will win his re-election in 2027 and would complete eight years in office like his predecessors.

“All those gathering against Tinubu should know that he will complete eight years in office. Obasanjo spent eight years, Buhari spent eight years, and even Jonathan spent about six years. By God’s grace, Tinubu will complete his eight years in office,” he stated.
