Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State yesterday said he won’t be president-elect, Bola Tinubu’s chief of staff after leaving office on May 29.

Reacting to reports of possibly becoming the chief of staff following his closeness to Tinubu during the electioneering period, El-Rufai said he would rather remain in the private sector while contributing to Nigeria’s development.

El-Rufai was reported to be one of those being considered for the position of the president-elect’s chief of staff.

“I will be in the private sector, I’m not going to be any chief of staff. I will take a break and advise people like Governor Inuwa Yahaya, if they need it.”
