The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has said that it was pleased to announce the appointment of Amb. Mentus Chukwudi as the Head of Delegation to the India Peace Day Celebration.
A statement which was made available to newsmen in Abuja, Nigeria, by the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb Emmanuel Nkweke said until his appointment, Amb. Chukwudu is an Eminent Peace Ambassador and the Enugu State Director of IAWPA in Nigeria. He is also an SDG Council Member of the United Nations Association of Africa, USA, Inc.
Amb. Chukwudi, according to the International Spokesman, has consistently demonstrated capacity and commitment to promoting the United Nations’ global vision, making him an ideal candidate for the new role.
“His responsibilities will see him lead IAWPA’s delegation to the India Peace Day Celebration, promoting peace, understanding, and cooperation between nations. His expertise and experience will be invaluable in shaping the discussions and outcomes of the event,” the statement said.
The statement further added that IAWPA remains committed to promoting peace, sustainable development, and global cooperation. This appointment, the statement stressed “underscores our organization’s dedication to fostering a more peaceful and prosperous world.”
In a related development, the IAWPA South Asia Coordinator, His Excellency, Amb. Prof. Junaid Ali, said all is set to welcome international delegates to New Delhi, capital of India and host of the International Peace Day celebration 2025, which is scheduled to hold on Monday, September 21, 2025.
