IAWPA Appoints Junaid Ali As South Asia Regional Coordinator

The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has announced the appointment of Junaid Ali as its South Asia Regional Coordinator.

In a press statement released to journalists and signed by the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, the association said Junaid Ali, with over 12 years of experience in social activism and advocacy, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role.

The statement said he is expected to play a key role in United Nations Representation representing IAWPA at United Nations events, furthering the association’s mission and objectives on a global platform.

He is also expected to act as Regional Coordinator, which will see him oversee the affairs of IAWPA in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, fostering partnerships and collaborations with local organisations and stakeholders.

Junaid Ali, according to the statement, is a dedicated advocate and social activist with a proven track record of providing support to clients and services to those in need. His involvement in various social activities has earned him recognition and respect in the community. As a social activist, he is committed to providing services to the public and helping people through various initiatives.

Mr. Junaid Ali was honoured as an International Eminent Peace Ambassador in Nigeria during the just-concluded United Nations World Heath Day in Abuja, at the country’s capital at the prestigious National Merit House on Monday, April 7, 2025.
