The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has announced its upcoming celebration of the International Day of Police Cooperation, scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria.
This year’s event, according to the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb Emmanuel Nkweke, promises to be a significant milestone in the association’s ongoing efforts to support and collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in promoting peace and security.
As part of its activities, the association’s World Peace President, Amb. Per Stafsen, has directed the distribution of new police flags to all police stations within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and State Command Headquarters across the country.
Additionally, IAWPA said it will be hoisting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) flags in all police stations as a symbol of its commitment to supporting the Nigerian Police in achieving the UN’s global goals.
“We are honoured to partner with the Nigeria Police Force in celebrating this important day,” Amb. Per Stafsen was quoted as saying.
“Under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, a proactive and visionary leader, we have witnessed significant strides in policing and community engagement. We commend his efforts and pledge to continue supporting the Nigeria Police in their quest for effective delivery in peace and security.”
As part of its efforts to recognise and reward outstanding servicemen, IAWPA will be honouring deserving police officers who have demonstrated discipline and commitment to effective policing. Furthermore, the association will be providing scholarships to children of fallen heroes of the police as a token of appreciation for their sacrifices and a gesture of support to their families.
“IAWPA remains committed to its mission of promoting peace and security, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force. Together, we can build a safer and more secure society for all Nigerians”
It will be recalled that the association has also supported the Nigerian Police by gifting 59 thousand branded unbralles to the Force previously
