Vice Chancellor of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu, has inaugurated committees for the establishment of Faculties of Law and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
He appealed to stakeholders to join hands with the management to ensure the realisation of the establishment of the faculties.
He said the university management needs the support of all stakeholders for the project to become a reality, lamenting that the university had lagged behind compared to others that were established same time.
Adamu noted that IBB University was established in 2005 with three developmental phases, stressing that the University is still in its first phase after 16 years of existence.
He urged the committees to submit reports within shortest possible time to enable the management in turn submit all the documents to National Universities Commission (NUC) by January next year so that the resource verification visit for the two programmes could commence either by February or latest March.
The vice chancellor thanked the Visitor and Governor of Niger State, Muhammad Umaru Bago’s administration for all the support in ensuring the growth of the university.
