Edo State deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Bayelsa State deputy governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa extended heartfelt condolences to the Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri, the Ewhrudjakpo family and the people of Bayelsa State over the sad news.

He described Senator Ewhrudjakpo as a dedicated public servant whose leadership style, humility and commitment to the development of Bayelsa State and the broader Niger Delta region earned him nationwide admiration.

Idahosa noted that the loss leaves a significant void in Nigeria’s political and developmental landscape, adding that Ewhrudjakpo’s contributions would be remembered for years to come.

The Edo deputy governor prayed for divine strength for Governor Diri, the bereaved family, and the people of Bayelsa State, while asking God to grant the departed eternal rest.
