A subsidiary of Norrenberger Group, International Energy Insurance (IEI) has offered free comprehensive Motor Insurance Cover, amongst other gifts to the graduating military officers in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja at the weekend.

This is even as it equally sensitised and partnered the Nigerian Military to insure their families and properties.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Military Officers of the National Defence College (Course 31 Graduation Tombola) in Abuja, the managing director, IEI Plc, Mr. Olasupo Sogelola, said the gesture was a message to the Nigerian army that they also need insurance to protect their assets, lives and families, especially, as their job is a risky one.

This, according to the insurer, was to further enhance a stronger and beneficial partnership between the underwriting firm and the Nigerian military in a bid to deepen insurance adoption and acceptance.

He stated that the sensitisation of the military personnel is also in furtherance to the insurance industry’s goal to boost awareness and deepen penetration.

To him, “we want to partner the military to bring out more insurance opportunities. We also chose to be a partner in the sponsorship of this event because we recognize the role of the military in ensuring peace and stability in the country, subregion, and Africa as a whole. And as part of our support, we are providing a free comprehensive Motor Insurance Cover for the winner amongst the gifts we have made available.

“We are one of the sponsors of Course 31graduation Tombola, We believe that the entire insurance industry will benefit from this partnership. We are trying to achieve the popularity of insurance because as you can see, all the generals are here tonight and if they can buy into insurance, insurance coverage will be more popular.

Stating that International Energy Insurance Plc has recently been bought over 100 per cent by Norrenberger Group, precisely, in July, 2022, he stressed that, “it is indeed a great honour and sense of pride that I stand before you all graduands of our great National Defence College Course 31, distinguished men and women, who have in your various arms of the Military been holding forth for our beloved country. I say congratulations to you all.”

After a rigorous and engaging course by the military, he believes it is thoughtful of the leadership of the Military to organise this Tombola on their graduation to enable them unwind and relax, even as he urged them to approach the company for their insurances, promising that, the company has always and is piortising payment of genuine claims.
