Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo who is popularly known as Sunday Igboho has dissociated himself from the invasion of the Oyo State Government Secretariat by some armed men suspected to be Yoruba nation agitators on Saturday.

Igboho said he did not have a hand in the invasion which occurred in the early hours of Saturday and said to have been carried out by armed men in army camouflage who were seen hoisting the Yoruba Nation flag and various accessories.

Reports added that the invaders also made an attempt to take over the Governor’s Office and the House of Assembly Complex located within the secretariat before they were repelled through the combined effort of operatives of the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Operation Burst, and Amotekun.

Igboho, who is a known leader of the self-determination group charged the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to institute a proper investigation to fish out the people behind the attack and their sponsors.
He further called urged Governor Makinde to ascertain the motive behind the invasion, while adding that the people behind it should be unveiled, arrested and prosecuted.

Igboho further reiterated his commitment to the peace and security of the Yorubaland, noting that he would never be part of anything whatsoever that could disturb the peace of the region.
