The Ijaw Youth Consultative Forum (IYCF) has expressed commendation for the Niger Delta Peace and Stability Forum, led by Sir Godfrey Pondi, following their recent congratulatory visit to the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
In a statement issued by IYCF’s Chief Executive Officer, High Chief Preye Raphael Ebizimor, the visit was acknowledged for recognizing the Administrator’s significant accomplishments during his inaugural year, particularly in fostering peace and stability within the Niger Delta region.
Ebizimor noted that the Niger Delta Peace and Stability Forum has been pivotal in maintaining regional stability through robust support and encouragement of the Administrator’s initiatives.
“Their efforts have greatly contributed to the relative stability observed in the region in recent years,” he affirmed.
He highlighted the crucial role of the Presidential Amnesty Programme in reducing violence and promoting economic development in the area.
“The programme’s focus on disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) has proven highly effective, and the Administrator’s successes in this domain underline the programme’s impact,” he added.
