In our modern world, knowledge is power. Information Technology (ICT) is the fulcrum by which other sectors and endeavours are improved upon, and continually to be developed.
Team Lead of Techciti Global, Mr Doyin Ijiwola, is a man that is passionate of the impact of technology tools (Tech tools) on human endeavours. He has been a teacher and facilitator of events that impacts students with tech tools.
Having been a Tech consultant for over two decades, Doyin who has certified qualifications in cybersecurity, programming, web and mobile development, has implemented Tech projects for multinationals, government agencies, educational institutions and Small And Medium Scale Enterprises(SMEs).
One of the sterling qualities of the Techciti founder is his impact in Edtech which is education technology- the new aspect of using technology to teach and foster education.
To him, “I pivoted into Edtech which is an aspect that is thrilling for me having consulted for a good number of ivy-league schools in Lekki and Lagos Mainland. Presently, I am helping to prepare the next generation of tech professionals. I currently train students from across the global. Self-development is key to success in any endeavor and I am not stopping there as I constantly study to improve my skills and capabilities.
“Tech is an enabler. It grows the capacity of any outfit, sector or business when it is well implemented. Tech enables businesses to sell beyond their borders, opens up their organization to geographic locations that were otherwise out of reach. Tech enables organization to get tasks done faster and more efficiently.
“Since Covid-19 struck, education has benefited from distant learning tech. Organizations and training institutions have adopted tech and it is booming”
Ijiwola sees challenges in tech as stepping stones knowing that they are numerous in this part of the world. He said: “One challenge presently bedeviling tech and any business that involves buying goods and services abroad is high forex rate which makes it difficult and expensive to obtain tools, software, services and certification that were not so expensive before. Infrastructure is still a big challenge according to him but it’s better than before because the economy has improvised so many that it’s difficult for them to afford anything beyond basic necessities.”
The professional who is a father of two, and got some of his qualifications is from the British Computer Society, advising on how youth can benefit from tech noted that, “three resources needed for young entrepreneurs to succeed in business is time, money and people. They should spend their time growing the three. Also every entrepreneur should have a mentor. Mentorship helps you grow fast. It’s like taking elevator instead of climbing the ladder of success.”
He added that every business owner should key into the opportunities that digital marketing brings as digital marketing if used effectively can give any business exponential Return on investment (ROI) because “there are marketing tools that can help you target those who really need your products and services. AI is also a game changer, its empowering business owners with skills and tools that they may not have been able to afford or know about. AI is making them available.
“Tech is also collapsing geography you can be in a tiny corner of the world and be selling on a global scale. There are tech tools both free and paid available for every aspect of business that significantly upturned the outcome of any business venture.”
Doyin Ijiwola is a young man in his early 40s doing great in his corner and wants the federal and state governments to prioritize education and fund it as that is the how societies can develop and Nigeria attain technological development.
