The Ekiti State-born Barrister Ronke Adeyemi, who is a member of Ilorin branch of the NBA, was among the latest set of lawyers inaugurated as SANs on Monday by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

Adeyemi thus becomes the first resident female legal practitioner in Ilorin and a member of the Ilorin branch of the NBA to be so honoured in the over 50 years of the existence of the branch.

A product of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Adeyemi was called to Bar in 1993 and has been practising in Ilorin since 1995.

She was the vice chairman of NBA, Ilorin branch, from 2007 to 2009 and the chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Kwara State branch, from 2014 to 2017.
