I’m Focused On My Electoral Promises, Says Adeleke

Governor of Osun State Ademola Adeleke has reiterated his commitment to govern the state with his eyes focused on his electoral promises.

 At the annual Ramadan lecture organised for him and his family, the governor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of the state for their overwhelming vote for his candidacy at the July 16 , 2022 governorship election, pledging never to disappoint them. 

Adeleke who recalled his travails on the journey to the governorship of Osun State thanked his family members, friends, party members and associates for their trust and belief in his destiny and capacity to lead the state to greater heights.

 While thanking Imam Hamodu Tijani Babatunde Akede who was the guest lecturer and the Adeleke General Summit which organised the family prayers, the governor who was emotional about his eventual ascendancy to the office said Osun people demonstrated uncommon love and backing at every moment of the political journey.

“I promise once again never to disappoint our people. I am governing the state with an eye on my electoral promises. Every inch of the way, we will keep faith with the aspirations and wishes of our people. Despite the poor state of finance inherited from my predecessor, we are resolved to ensure the dividends of democracy are delivered. This is a true government of the people, for the people and by the people.

“I have a vow to God and the people, that is to serve truly and sincerely. Our programmes and policies will target only public good. Wherever the people are, that is where you will find me, my team and my party”, the governor said.
