Senator Musa Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, has said he is impressed with Abia State governor Alex Otti’s records.
Kwankwaso stated this when he paid Otti a condolence visit over the death of a former governor of the state, Ogbonnaya Onu, at Otti’s country home in Nvosi.
“For the little time I’ve been here, I’ve had the opportunity to talk to some people who confirmed to me that you’re doing well, in fact, very well.”
“I’ve seen your projects everywhere and would advise you to remain focused on making the state better than you found it,” the one-time Kano State governor added.
The Senator sympathised with Otti and the people of the state over the death of the first democratically elected governor and urged them to bear the loss with fortitude.
In response, Otti expressed delight to Kwankwaso about the visit, saying he highly appreciated the presidential candidate’s political guidance and sense of patriotism.
“Thank you for your guidance, patriotism, and everything you have done for this country,” according to the Labour Party governor.
“Thank you for encouraging me in 2022 not to lose faith, though we were in different political parties when it appeared as if everything was going to be lost.”
“I am grateful to you for that call about May 20 and for offering me your party’s platform to run for this office if I wanted. The rest is now history,” he added.
