The Mandate Movement (TMM) has charged Christians in Lagos State and across the country to imbibe the spirit of Easter for national growth and development.
In his group’s Easter message to Nigerians, the Lagos State chairman, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, emphasised the importance of unity, brotherhood, and service to God and humanity during and beyond Easter.
A statement by a member of the group’s Central Working Committee (CWC), Prince Adewale Arogundade, which was made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, underscored the significance of Easter, symbolising love, sacrifice, and the triumph of good over evil, urging Christians to reflect on these principles and incorporate them into their daily lives.
“On behalf of my family, leaders, stakeholders, and members of our esteemed group, I extend heartfelt congratulations to our Christian brethren for successfully completing the Lenten Season and joyously celebrating Easter.
“We express profound gratitude to the Almighty for bestowing upon you the strength to embark on this meaningful spiritual journey. May the blessings of this sacred period breathe new life into our nation and guide us towards enduring peace, advancement, and prosperity,” Enilolobo pointed out.
Despite the prevailing socioeconomic and security challenges, Enilolobo remained optimistic about overcoming them through collective effort and divine intervention.
Acknowledging the nation’s current distress, he urged citizens to find solace in Easter’s blessings and work towards sustainable peace and development, while calling on religious leaders to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and unity across Nigeria’s diverse population.
