Immediate Past Chairman Argungu LG Dies At 52

The immediate past Chairman of Argungu Local Government Council in Kebbi State, Comrade Salihu KC Argungu, has died at the age of 52. He died in the early hours of Monday at the Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto after battling with diabetes illness and left behind four Wives and eighteen children.

A staff member of Kebbi Television, Malam Nazir Argungu, broke the news of the deceased to our Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi.

According to Nazir, Late KC held many positions in the Labour Union in Kebbi State until his death and later became the chairman of Argungu Local Government Council in the state.

Many dignitaries from within and outside Kebbi State have attended his funeral prayer, which was held around 11:00am at Id-Ground, and he was buried at the Cemetery in Argungu town.

Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris, who was out of the state, has immediately extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and the emir of Argungu, Sama’ila Muhammed Mera CON, over the loss.

He described the deceased as a straightforward Comrade in the Union who always stood for truth and justice in all his actions.

The governor prayed to Allah to forgive him and grant him Aljannar Firdausi in the hereafter.
