The Imo State Football Association (FA) has called on all clubs in the state to register for the 2024 league season.

Secretary of Imo FA, Gordy Ndudi, said there will be four groups of four clubs each who will play to produce group winners.

“The league shall be played in four groups on round-rubbing among the four winners to produce the first and second winners that will represent the state at the NLO.

“However, only affiliated clubs in the state qualify for the competition. Imo FA calls on all clubs to rush as the deadline is May 31st, after which we commence,” Ndudi said.

According to him, the first and second winners will represent the state at the NLO alongside other teams from other states where they will compete for the coveted trophy.

Ndudi said the cost of registration is N120,000 to participate in the playoffs, saying the breakdown of the fees are registration N70,000; affiliation N20,000; and administrative N30,000.

He explained that any club that participated in the 2024 federation cup and paid their annual affiliation fee will not repeat the payment.

Ndudi said: “By this notice, the Imo FA calls on all registered clubs in the state to rush to the office and perfect their registration to participate in the NLO competition”.
