The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into a viral video showing a woman, identified as Mrs. Agu Ndididamaka, 55 years old, of Umuakaliukwu Kindred, Uboegbelu, Azaraubo, Emekuku, being assaulted by a group of men.

This was made known through a statement made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations officer, PPRO, Henry Okoye.

According to the release, acting on the directive, the X-Squad Unit has commenced efforts to identify, arrest, and bring all individuals involved in the appalling act to justice without delay.
Meanwhile, preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was attacked by six men identified as Osuji Chiazor, Agu Azubike, Njoku Onyedikachi, Njoku Eugene, Njoku Dikachi, Njoku Emmanuel, and Iwuala Chukwuma.

The assault was allegedly carried out because the woman cooperated with police officers who had earlier visited the community for investigative purposes.

Consequently, efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects, after which they will be charged to court.
