The elders of Zonkwa community in Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna State have advised the federal government to increase budgetary allocation to the Federal Ministry of Education.
The elders believe that increment in budget allocation to the ministry of education will reduce the number of out-of-school children.
The elders gave the advice through the national vice chairman, Zonkwa community, Mr Simon Agog, during the handing over of 16 renovated classrooms at Government Secondary School (GSS) Zonkwa constructed by the Federal Ministry of Health under the Universal Basic Education (UBE) programme.
LEADERSHIP reports that the project was facilitated by Barrister Ezekiel Goje, a son of the area.
The elders commended the federal government and the facilitator, Barrister Goje for the gesture stressing that the children can now study in a conducive environment.
The paramount ruler of the Bajju chiefdom, his royal Highness, the Agwam Bajju the 2nd, Luka Yabuwat thanked the government for promoting education in the chiefdom.
Speaking, Barr Ezekiel Goje said the only thing that will make the education sector to progress is by encouraging the teachers.
