Industrialists Welcome Price Control Board

Association of Small-scale Industrialists (NASSI) have expressed happiness at the move by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to establish price control board to check inflation and high cost of foodstuffs in the country.

The association’s stand was made known by the treasurer of the association, Dr Abubakar Tanko Bala in an interview with journalists, yesterday, in Abuja.

He said the president has heeded to their call for the establishment of the price control as it is the sure way to check the trend in which market men and women increase price of goods without any recourse.

He also lauded the various state governments for rolling out measures to cushion the hardship the citizens are facing, urging them to double their efforts as many people are languishing in abject poverty and they need serious help.

The vice president, Kashim Shettima announced the formation of the price control board during a stakeholders meeting on climate change and food security held at the presidential villa, Abuja.
