Prince Adewole Adebayo, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has called on citizens to stay vigilant and actively participate in the country‘s political process.

In a press briefing with newsmen yesterday in Abuja, Adebayo said that the current situation should drive the country’s politics and urged Nigerians not to rely solely on a select few to represent their interests at the national level.

He said, “Nigerians themselves need to demand change where necessary. Relying on the opposition is insufficient; hence, not all politicians may have the people‘s interest at heart.”

Also, the National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Chief Peter Ameh, said that Nigerians’ suffering under this administration needs to be halted.

He said, “The devastating hunger on the land, high tariffs in electricity and data, and inflation leading to a high level of depressed people in the country reflect the pains that Nigerians are facing.”

“As the nation faces various issues, including economic difficulties, it is crucial for citizens to remain alert and engage actively in the political process. Working together and participating in coalition-building efforts to tackle the country’s current problems collectively.”
