He spoke against the rising waves of killing and kidnapping  in Nasarawa north senatorial district.

The governor gave the charge at the quarterly meeting of Nasarawa enabling ease of doing business environment council.

The governor described the unabated killing and kidnapping ongoing in Nasarawa Eggon local government area as unfortunate and warned commissioners and other key appointees to be on the alert by not driving at night.

“We have recorded three cases of killing, humiliation and kidnapping in Nasarawa Eggon for that reason, we can’t fold our arms. We have to be able to take a stronger position,” the governor said.

He urged  them to do the best they can, to be more cautious of their security at all times.

In the same vein, the governor stated that it is not aware that commissioners are moving about without security back up.

The governor explained that the government will beef up  security in Nasarawa to curtail the ugly situation around  Nasarawa.

Reacting to the incident involving the state commissioner of Information, Hon. Yakubu Lawal, who was kidnapped last night in Nasarawa Eggon by unknown gunmen, the governor said efforts are on top gear to draft additional security to Nasarawa Eggon to safeguard the lives of citizens.
