Flights and sporting events have been put on hold as countries in the Gulf region respond to heightened military activity.
Tensions escalated after Iran launched strikes on strategic locations in retaliation for attacks it attributes to the United States and Israel.
Qatar’s Defence Ministry confirmed that its air defence systems intercepted missiles, describing the action as part of a precautionary security response.
With airspace closures affecting Qatar and neighbouring states, numerous foreigners, athletes, and business travellers are reportedly stuck until normal flight operations resume.
Authorities have not provided a timeline for reopening air corridors or restoring travel services.
