As the conflict in the Middle East escalates on Monday, Iran fired missiles at the United States Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps called the mission “Annunciation of Victory,” according to Iranian state TV.

“With the aggression of the American enemy, it became clear to everyone that the evil of the Zionists was an extension of the American design,” the Iranian armed forces said in a statement.

“Accordingly, we remind you that in this national defense, the US mobile military bases and targets in the region are not a point of strength, but rather a major weakness and a blind spot for this war-mongering regime.”

Meanwhile, the Qatari Defense Ministry said its air defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting the US base.

The Qatari foreign minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani condemned the Iranian attack, calling it a “flagrant violation of the State of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, as well as international law and the United National Charter.”

“We affirm that the State of Qatar reserves the right to respond directly in a manner proportionate to the nature and scale of this blatant aggression and in accordance with international law,” the foreign minister said.

He added that the base had been evacuated earlier in accordance with approved security and precautionary procedures, stressing that there were no injuries or human losses as a result of the attack.

However, a senior administration official told ABC News that the White House and the Department of Defense were aware of, and closely monitoring potential threats to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the United States hit Iranian nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan on Saturday, sparking renewed threat of retaliation by the Iranian regime amid its conflict with Israel.
