An Ishaya Bako directed documentary Up NEPA! Is set to premiere May 9, in Abuja.
The film which features interviews with ordinary Nigerian manufacturers and power industry experts as Patrick Okigbo, Bart Nnaji, Rahila Thomas, Alex Okoh, and guest appearances by Kate Henshaw and M.I Abaga, analyses in-depth the challenges of providing adequate and sustained electricity to Nigeria’s ever-increasing population. In doing so, simplifies for viewers the complexities of electricity generation, transmission and distribution in Nigeria.
It also depicts the impact of the unreliable electricity power supply in the personal and professional lives of Nigerian citizens and the nation’s economy.
Speaking on the success of the production, Bako renowned for directing award-winning documentaries as Fueling Poverty and Silent Tears commended their key partners the MacArthur Foundation and Griot Studios for supporting the realization of the film.

Released in partnership with The Electricity Hub, Up NEPA! Premiere will feature an interactive session between industry experts, development community and special guests at the event.
