Bayern Munich’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness, has confirmed that the club will not be signing Nicolas Jackson on a permanent basis. Jackson joined the Bundesliga champions on a one-year loan from Chelsea this summer, with an agreement that includes an obligation to buy for £56 million next year.
Hoeness has highlighted a clause in the deal that could obstruct the striker’s permanent transfer, stating, “The player and his agent contribute €3 million, so we pay a €13.5 million loan fee.
There will definitely not be a permanent contract unless he plays 40 games from the start, which will never happen.”
Guido Fienga, the former CEO of AS Roma, has revealed that working alongside Jose Mourinho is not an easy task. Fienga, who departed Roma in October 2021 shortly after Mourinho’s appointment, shared his insights with Thriving Minds via Gazzetta, describing the Portuguese manager as a significant challenge for the club.
“In private, he’s very funny. Being Mourinho’s CEO is a great challenge, but it wasn’t for long. In one of the first matches, we received four red cards; it was quite a welcome to Mourinho’s style,” he remarked.
“I maintain a good relationship with him, probably because I didn’t work with him for very long. When I decided to leave Roma, Mourinho said to me, ‘Guido, there are only two alpha males in this club, and now one is leaving.’ I replied, ‘Good for you.’ That’s why I’ve kept a positive rapport with him.”
Fienga added that for a CEO, working with a coach who frequently clashes with referees and the league feels akin to being a firefighter in California. However, he acknowledged Mourinho’s intelligence and skills, stating, “I have many things to say, but I can’t, for both our reputations.”
