Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has debunked reports in the media that he plans to leave the Etihad Stadium.
Several reports have suggested that the 34-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements as Pep Guardiola’s seeks to rebuild his aging squad.
According to Beinsports.tr, Gundogan has agreed to join Turkish giants Galatasaray and will earn a salary of up to €6 million per season.
Gundogan’s agent, however, doesn’t seem to understand where this came from and is adamant no move is on the horizon.
Speaking to reporters, the City star’s agent and uncle Ilhan Gundogan said: “At the moment, there is no agreement with any club in Turkey or any official talks going on. I find it difficult to understand why such news is coming out.”
