IWD: NEM Insurance Empowers Female Entrepreneurs

In commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day, NEM Insurance Plc, a leading financial firm mitigating against business and property risks, has empowered five female entrepreneurs with N100,000 financial grant to support the growth and expansion of their businesses through the “NEM  She Means Business Challenge.’’The winners who emerged in the contest involving 230 entries, were carefully evaluated and selected through rigorous processes and were acknowledged for their innovative, resilience and entrepreneurship spirit in driving and contributing to economic development.

Speaking on the theme for this year’s celebration, “Inspire Inclusion, Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” the managing director and chief executive officer of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr Andrew Ikekhua, while presenting the cash prize to the winners, acknowledged them for participating in the ‘NEM She Means Business Challenge’ and pledged the brand’s continuous support as they embark on their entrepreneurship journey.“At NEM Insurance, we are determined to encourage female economic empowerment and inclusion as a social objective, given the various impacts and contributions women play in society.

We appreciate in no small measure your drive to identify a need in your environment and the effort to ensure you create a business and services that meet those needs through your innovative ideas,” Ikekhua added.

“To ensure business continuity and survival, it is important you secure your businesses against predictable and unforeseen risks that may occur during business operations. At NEM Insurance, we offer products and services that mitigate business risk,” he remarked.
