Nigerian singer J Martins has pleaded with Peter and Paul Okoye, alias Psquare, to make peace with each other and stop making their altercation public.
This comes hours after one of the twins, Peter Okoye, alias Mr P, declared that he had formally changed his birthday from November 18 to November 30 to spite his twin, with whom he shares that date.
Martins took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) to express confusion over Peter’s birthday remarks, while advising the identical twins to resolve their quarrels discreetly.
“These are my brothers for more than two decades, I still don’t understand why one will just wake up decades to change his own birthday separate from his twin brother?” Adding that the brothers should not disgrace “Ndi Igbo nke anyi.”
P-Square is a popular music duo that hit the limelight in 2003 with their song ‘Senorita’ and later with their 2005 album ‘Get Squared’.
The dispute between the brothers began in 2017, stemming from Jude Okoye’s position as manager.
Following the pair’s reunion in 2021, the dispute returned in 2024 when Paul accused Peter of involvement in his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
