This japa news was not a happy one and for some reason it left me feeling sad. After the call ended, I lost appetite for lunch so that when my food was brought to me as it usually is done, I asked them to take it back.

I worked on content for my new company and into the night. I finally forced myself to have dinner with my parents. My siblings were all out. As usual, my parents were talking politics after asking if I was alright? My not taking lunch did not go unnoticed.

I told them I was fine and was busy setting things up for my new company. I should probably write a column on Japa for Hamisu. He was sad to see me leave working for his newspaper, to launch out on my own, but would welcome me as a guest columnist.

So, that’s how we find it oh, life must go on. The title of my write up will be, ‘Japa And Other Stories.’
