JEDC Worker Electrocuted In Plateau Community

Tragedy struck in Jos, the Plateau State capital when an employee of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) was electrocuted while carrying out repairs in the Abbatoir area of Jos South local government area of the state.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the deceased simply identified as Friday was electrocuted while fixing an electrical fault in the Abbatoir community of the capital city.

A source in the area, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that the deceased met his death when electricity was suddenly restored to the high tension pole he was working on.

According to the source, the late Friday was very committed to his job and always responded to calls from customers whenever there was any fault in the areas of his coverage.

Another member of Abbatoir community lamented the incident, saying that the late JEDC worker was so hard working.
