Several personal items belonging to Matthew Perry are set to go under the hammer. However, a handwritten letter from Jennifer Aniston has been removed from the auction.

The note, believed to have been written around the time Friends ended in 2004, was initially included in a charity sale of Perry’s belongings.

But Heritage Auctions confirmed to The Independent that the letter is no longer part of the auction.

In the note, Aniston appeared to reference Perry’s long-running struggles with addiction. It reads:

“Matty! Oh my God….How am I going to live without your light in my life on a daily basis? I know that the light has been dimmed at times and there were moments I was so scared it was going to go out all together. You have always come back.”

“Thank you for choosing to live this life. You have so much to give and not just to the masses with your talent but as a friend and a husband and a father.”

The actress reflected on their long friendship, saying they had come a long way together. She said she was proud of him and would always support him. “I am always here for you,” she wrote.

A charity auction of Matthew Perry’s personal belongings is scheduled for Friday. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Matthew Perry Foundation, which supports people living with addiction.
