Jigawa State government has appointed local government coordinators to oversee the implementation of the Renewed Hope Ward Development Agenda (RHWDA) to strengthen democracy, ensure inclusive governance and fulfil all campaign promises.
The commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport, and Culture, Hon. Sagir Musa, announced this in a press statement issued in Dutse, the state capital.
He said Governor Malam Umar Namadi has approved the appointment of coordinators for all 27 local government areas.
The appointees, he said, are expected to collaborate and coordinate the activities of ward-level coordinators.
Musa explained that the project is aligned with Governor Namadi’s 12-point agenda, which is designed to transform Jigawa State into prosperity and greatness.
According to him, each local government coordinator will work closely with ward councillors to ensure synergy in delivering projects and democratic dividends to the communities.
The commissioner further revealed that all necessary provisions will be made in accordance with the aspirations of every political ward.
“The primary goal of His Excellency, Governor Malam Umar Namadi, is to improve the social and economic well-being of the people of Jigawa State, expand opportunities for public participation in governance, and ensure a sustainable democratic system for growth and development in the state,” Hon. Sagir stated.
