The Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja ll has called on well to do Nigerians and major private sector players to come up with initiatives that will help to create jobs in the country, saying job creation should not be left the government.

Ooni Ogunwusi who made the disclosure while unveiling another branch of Ojaja More in Ogo Oluwa area, Osogbo Sunday evening said his primary focus was to promote local goods and encourage youths to be gainfully employed.

While charging entrepreneurs and well-to-do Nigerians home and in the diaspora to emulate his private sector driven initiatives and promised to continue to encourage home made goods by helping manufacturers to showcase their products.

He added that the malls will serve as a platform for youths to display their manufacturing powers on what they can do on basic structures and basic utilization.

He said: “For me, I am fully dedicated to things that will better a lot of Nigeria youths, and that is why I am doing this kind of venture.

“The platform is just to help a lot of youths to manufacture anything they are manufacturing, walk in here and display it.

“And once the customer likes it, we’ll help them to distribute it across the country.  This is a platform for the youth to display their manufacturing powers and what they can do on basic structures and basic utilization, it is very important for us to know that if such a platform exists, we don’t need to leave foreign people to do this for us, we need to continue to help ourselves”.
