Bauchi State-based civil society organisation (CSO), Journalists for Public Health and Development Initiative (J4PD), has observed that Bauchi State, in the last year of Bala Mohammed’s second term, has witnessed tremendous growth and development in the health sector through many interventions.

J4PD also lauded the state government for prioritising education by providing infrastructure and manpower for schools across the state, stressing that a solid foundation is being laid in the sector.

A statement signed by the group’s executive director, Elizabeth Nange Kah, and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Monday said such intervention included the rehabilitation and upgrading of health facilities, especially in rural areas, thereby making healthcare services delivery easily accessible to the people.

She said the Bala Mohammed-led administration has provided an enabling environment for international partners to operate, thereby improving effective and efficient healthcare service delivery through supportive roles.

According to Kah, J4PD is particularly delighted about the reactivation of the Renal Centre at the State Hospital, which has made accessing such services readily available and affordable to the people, particularly the less privileged.
