The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), has distributed food and essential items to inmates at the Okaka Correctional Centre in Yenagoa to celebrate Christmas.

The items donated yesterday included rice, noodles, vegetable oil and toiletries among others.

They were donated also in commemoration of the 2025 end-of-year activities for personnel of the JTF OPDS .

Presenting the items, commander of the JTF OPDS, Rear Adm. Olugbenga Oladipo, assured that the JTF would continue to support in their own capacity to ensure that inmates live better lives and to give them a sense of belonging.

Oladapo who was represented by the Maritime Component Commander of JTF, Commodore B.O Onalo, said though the inmates were confined, they were not written off from society.
