In an interview with some civil servants who expressed their feelings in Makurdi, they said that their joy knew no bounds as the governor kept to his promise despite the fact that it was on Sunday.

A staff of Local Government Service Commission, Simon Azembe, described the governor as a man of his words urging him to also consider paying the arrears to enable them pay their bills.

“To me, I will be referring or calling my governor as “Talk and Do”. He is a great man. I hold him in high esteem. I like people who match their words with actions. Luck has shine on Benue now, the state will begin to shine brighter soon,” he said.

According to him, “I am praying to God to continue to be with him so as to keep putting smiles on the faces of the civil servants, pensioners and Benue people in general.”
