Junior Chamber International (JCI) Aso has unveiled plans for human capital development, a crucial step towards investing in citizens for societal success for the year and beyond.
The president of JCI, Yetunde Adebisi, unveiled the chamber’s plans yesterday in Abuja at its January general assembly/business meeting with the theme: “Leading with Excellence.”
Adebisi expressing gratitude for the organisation’s dedication to building leaders, she emphasised the unique role of humans in carrying out essential tasks for community advancement, drawing parallels to divine creation.
Adebisi lauded JCI’s approach to community development, distinguishing it from other organisations that focus more on publicity than impactful projects.
She said the emphasis on learning by doing and providing a platform for members to identify and execute their talents, setting JCI apart as a leadership organization.
“The emphasis was placed on ensuring that members understand and actively participate in JCI’s mission,” she said.
She also stressed the organisation’s advocacy for personal development, with the executive vice president encouraging youths to join JCI as a pathway to enhanced skills, mentorship, and a brighter future.
Also, JCI Senator Rotimi Adewole JCI Nigeria Senate committee chairperson stressed the organisation’s commitment to transforming and inducting members into leadership roles by the end of the year.
“Additionally, JCI is actively engaging with government officials and organisations to position its members as decision-makers in the country” he said
Adewole called on individuals to join JCI for personal and professional growth echoed, stressing the organization’s role as a standard-bearer in Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
