The Nigerian Army on Thursday took delivery of two fighter helicopters to activate its aviation wing and boost fight against insurgency.
The two helicopters, Bell UH1-H arrived the NAF Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 4:40pm and was received by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
The two helicopters are expected to Operationalise the Nigerian Army’s aviation to provide close air support to ground troops thereby boosting response time.
