JUST-IN: Bandits Abduct 2 Zamfara Varsity Students

Armed bandits have abducted two female students of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) in Zamfara State.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday when the kidnappers stormed the hostel located at Sabon-Gida, a community opposite the main campus of the university and locked up security guards before carrying out the abduction.

 

The names of the kidnap victims were given as Maryam and Zainab.

 

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mohammed Shehu, confirmed the incident, saying the bandits invaded the rented female hostel located at Sabon Gida village in Bungudu local government area of the State to abduct the two female students.

He added that a Police Tactical Team was already in pursuit of the assailants with a view to rescue the students and apprehend the kidnappers.
