JUST-IN: Bandits Kill Vice Principal, Abduct Students Of Girls’ Secondary School In Kebbi

Panic has gripped the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State after armed bandits attacked Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area, killing the vice principal and abducting scores of students.

The late-night assault claimed the life of the vice principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, who was reportedly shot while attempting to protect the students.

The exact number of abducted students remains unknown, as authorities have yet to release an official figure.

A resident, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, who confirmed the incident, said the attackers stormed the school unhindered, unleashing terror and plunging the community into shock and fear.

“It is a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire region into deep fear and mourning,” she said.

Residents have continued to mourn the slain vice principal, describing him as a dedicated educator who put his life on the line for the children.
