Daredevil gunmen suspected to be bandits have killed the Village Head of Madaka alongside 20 others in the attack that took place Thursday evening into the night.
Rich in gold, talc and other mineral deposits, Madaka communities in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State have been frequently targeted by bandits.
Sources hinted that the bandits attacked the community in the evening on Thursday when the community market was in full session and operated late into the night.
Scores of persons were reportedly abducted, while 50 houses, undisclosed number of cars and motorcycles were set ablaze by the terrorists.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun is yet to react to the attack, but the District Head of Madaka, Alhaji Isah Bawale has confirmed the incident
